Schutt Sports recently announced it is partnering with two-time Super Bowl champion Justin Tuck of the New York Giants and will donate proceeds from sales of his custom facemask designs to Tuck’s R.U.S.H for Literacy.

Tuck and the Giants’ equipment director, Joe Skiba, have worked with Schutt Sports the past two seasons designing custom facemasks for the defensive lineman. Nicknamed the “Big Grill” and “Big Grill 2.0,” these facemasks have sparked a movement for custom and specialty faceguards.

“Custom faceguards are a great way to protect yourself from injuries but they’re also a great way to make a statement on the field and Schutt Sports is the best in the business at designing specialty faceguards,” said Tuck. “There’s only one original Big Grill – the masks I worked on with Schutt Sports. Others have copied it but only Schutt has stepped up to support me and R.U.S.H. for Literacy.”

Schutt Sports will be donating 10% of proceeds from the sale of the Tuck faceguards to R.U.S.H. for Literacy, which he and his wife, Lauran, founded in 2008 to encourage kids to Read, Understand, Succeed and Hope.

“These facemasks have made Justin even more of a celebrity than he already is as a two-time Super Bowl champ,” said Glenn Beckmann, Director of Marketing Communications for Schutt. “Every place we go, every kid we talk to – they all want the “Tuck Facemask.” He has worn our helmet for a long time and it’s the right thing for us to do in supporting R.U.S.H. for Literacy.”

Both the Big Grill and the Big Grill 2.0 specialty facemasks are now available at Bolt Athletics.
